UFC champion Francis Ngannou takes care of a knee injury and revealed details of how his recovery is going to return to the Octagons; check out!
champion of UFC, Francis Ngannou is going through a delicate moment in his career. after winning Cyril Gane in early 2022, the fighter was forced to undergo knee surgery and is now in recovery. His return to the Octagons is still difficult to predict, as the athlete needs nine months to regain his old form.
Speaking to his YouTube channel, Francis Ngannou said that the first few weeks after the surgery was not easy. He has made it clear that he will not force to return before time. According to him, his pain is still great during the night, but he understands that this is necessary so that he can return to the UFC as soon as possible.

“Now I can drive. I’m out of crutches. It’s very relaxing now compared to the first two or three weeks, which were awful. Couldn’t drive, couldn’t walk, couldn’t even get something out of the fridge. It was quite a problem, but now I kind of do everything myself, which is good. Not 100%, but I’m still fine. It still hurts at night, but not as much as it did in the beginning“, he stated.
According to Ngannou, his return to training will take a long time. The surgery, which is still recent, was delicate and his training can only be done in two or three months. Because it is in a fragile region, he cannot force the location of the region in the knee and should only start with light runs and no sparring. Therefore, the UFC will still take a long time to see him in combat.
“In two or three months I will be happy enough to train, to do a little training. Just a little, like running. I’m not strong enough for (sparring), and I think I’d better give it the right time to heal at once, because if I try to force it sooner, I think I might have to redo (the surgery). So I better give it as much time as it takes, get plenty of rest. I’m not a pressure guy. I’ll just relax, so I know when to do what I have to do, and how to do it right.“, finished.
