Wladimir Klitschko to the Russians: With imperial ambitions of invading Ukraine and the barbarity of your so-called army, you sowed hatred for centuries

It’s hard not to agree with the legend of world sports

An outstanding Ukrainian boxer, one of the most dominant champions in heavyweight history, 1996 Olympic champion Wladimir Klitschko issued a powerful message to the Russians regarding the massive war that Russia has unleashed against Ukraine.

“This is a message to the Russians. Listen to those who are able to think. Or even think. With imperial ambitions to invade Ukraine and the barbarity of your so-called army, you have sowed hatred for centuries. And the words that the Russian government is one thing, and Russian citizens are complete nonsense and nonsense.

It is you who, believing in vile propaganda and not accepting information even from your relatives and friends here in Ukraine, were silent for the entire eight years when your country occupied Crimea and part of Donbass. It was you who treated the Ukrainians with arrogance and believed that there was no such nation. It was you who told each other myths about some Nazis and other nonsense. These are your soldiers – husbands, children – who have now come to Ukraine, and you all know about it. You call them and ask: how are they there, on a mission.

Remember, we don’t need to be released. We built our country on our own land. And we will build it. Ukraine is a free state that has chosen a democratic path of development. And we will fight for our choice.

Today, more than ever, we are united and resolute in this. It is not we who have come to your land, it is you who are killing our children. Bomb and level our cities and our homes. Know that you are called orcs of all here: there are no good or bad Russians. While you are silent and listen to the propaganda of a crazy person and a dictator gone mad, the entire civilized world is on the side of the Ukrainians today and admires how we build our land.

Yes, it will be difficult for us. But we won’t give up because we’re not afraid. And your army has already understood this. And putting ultimatums to people who are dying for their land is futile.

Remember, no matter how you try to destroy Ukraine and Ukrainians now, if you continue like this, your country will not survive either. He who sows the wind will reap the whirlwind. If you don’t want to be a country in complete isolation, don’t tremble with fear and indifference. Be brave like Ukrainians. Save your country, and we will not give up ours and we will not surrender. I am proud that I am a Ukrainian, a representative of a strong, freedom-loving and heroic nation. Glory to Ukraine”.

Early on the morning of February 24, Russia began rocket attacks on Ukrainian cities, and then launched a large-scale invasion. The war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine continues for the 19th day.
