The fight should take place in March 2023
Promoter Frank Warren confident that contract negotiations for a fight between the WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO title holder Oleksandr Usyk will be successful.
“I am quite sure that we will be able to agree and the contract must be signed. We are moving in the right direction, we are drawing up a contract.”
A unification fight between Usyk and Fury could take place in February or March next year. Alexander Krasyuk said that the most effective working date for the fight with Fury is March 4th.
Frank Warren said Usyk-Fury could have a rematch clause. The date of the fight may be affected by the injury of the Briton, received in a duel with Derek Chisora.
Also, according to Warren, in case of failure to organize a fight for the title of absolute world champion, the Ukrainian will have to defend against Daniel Dubois.
