Gervonta Davis’ girlfriend denies allegations of violence by the athlete

According to her, “emotions affected the decision to call the police”

WBA Regular Lightweight Title Girl Gervonts “Tank” Davis (27-0, 25 KOs) — Vanessa Posso – denied allegations of violence by the boxer.

“The last few days have been painful and extremely exhausting for all parties involved. And Gervonta and I – we were both to blame for the quarrel.

“While emotions were running high, I made an unnecessary call to law enforcement at a tense moment when I was furious. Gervonta didn’t harm me or our daughter.”

“Today we asked for the help we need to move forward in our lives. We are confident that we will succeed in our co-parenting dynamic with the advice provided to us.”

Davis was arrested in Florida a few days ago. The boxer was charged with bodily harm and domestic violence. The boxer was released after a court hearing on $1,000 bail.

On January 7 at Capital One Arena in Washington, Davis was scheduled to face Dominican Hector Garcia in the main event of the Premier Boxing Champions evening of boxing. The undercard of the evening will see the fight of the Ukrainian champion Karen Chukhadzhyan.

Davis also agreed on a second fight for 2023. On April 15 in Las Vegas, Gervonta is scheduled to face Ryan Garcia in the ring.

Davis fought his last fight at the end of May, defeating compatriot Rolando Romero to defend his WBA lightweight title. The manager of the ex-world champion Vasyl Lomachenko, Egis Klimas, said that the fight between the Ukrainian and Tank would be a mega fight.
