The Croatian IBF title contender spoke about the strength of his potential opponent.

Philip Hrgovic shares his opinion about Oleksandr Usyk. According to the Croatian heavyweight, the Ukrainian is not only a smart and skilled boxer, but also a fighter. Hrgovic called Usyk’s victory over Joshua fair, and said he hopes he can fight Usyk in the ring.

“Usyk is a good fighter, but at the same time a warrior. He is not only a technical, tactically competent boxer, but also a warrior. Usyk gives 100 percent, many punches. He is really strong psychologically.

Anthony Joshua’s 9th round was good and I think it was the only round he was successful. Joshua walks forward throwing body shots. Even with the punches on the block, Joshua lost balance with Usyk.

Anthony should fight all rounds like the 9th. But we have what we have. I hope I can get in the ring with Usyk and show how to fight,” Hrgovic said in a comment to TRUE SCHOOL SPORTS.

It can be recalled that the IBF previously designated Hrgovic as a mandatory contender for his championship belt, which belongs to Oleksandr Usyk.
