Pacquiao: RIZIN exhibition fight first, then we’ll talk about Mayweather rematch

The legendary boxer continues to hold exhibition fights

Former world champion in eight divisions Manny Pacquiao announced that he would exhibition fight under the auspices of the Japanese MMA promotion RIZIN.

“My plan today is step by step. So let’s finish this commitment with RIZIN first, and then we can talk about a potential rematch with Floyd Mayweather.”

“I will fight anyone as long as he has experience in boxing or knows how to throw punches. I’m out of ideas right now, but that’s why I challenged RIZIN to find an opponent who can compete in a fight.”

“I had a good exhibition fight on December 11 last year. I was so happy, but my opponent was a martial artist who didn’t know anything about boxing at all, so he had a hard time in the ring. But this next fight here in Japan is different because I think my opponent is probably a professional MMA fighter who knows how to punch and of course defend.”

Recall that in 2015, Pacquiao lost a welterweight fight to Mayweather by unanimous decision, at stake which was the WBA super, WBC, WBO titles.

In December, Pacquiao defeated Korean YouTuber Dee Kay Yo in a six-round exhibition match. Earlier, Pacquiao said he was ready to fight WBA, WBC and IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence or WBO title holder Terence Crawford.

Pacquiao ended his professional career in 2021. The legendary Filipino lost to Yordenis Ugas in his last fight.
