The fight is questionable
Promoter Eddie Hearn not sure about holding a duel between the WBA world champion in three weight categories Gervonta Davis (27-0, 25 KOs) and Ryan Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs).

In the last fight, Garcia defeated Javier Fortuna ahead of schedule. The fight was stopped in the sixth round after another knockdown by Ryan.
Gervonta Davis fought his last fight at the end of May, defeating compatriot Rolando Romero to defend his WBA lightweight title.
On January 7 at Capital One Arena in Washington, Davis is scheduled to face Dominican Hector Garcia in the main event of the Premier Boxing Champions evening of boxing. The undercard of the evening will see the fight of the Ukrainian champion Karen Chukhadzhyan.
The duel with Garcia should be the second for Davis in 2023. The fight with Ryan Garcia is scheduled for April 15 in Las Vegas. At the same time, Garcia refused an intermediate fight with Filipino Mercito Gesta. The light welterweight bout was scheduled to take place in Phoenix on January 28.
However, both fights of the WBA champion are on the verge of collapse. Recently, Gervonta was arrested in Florida – the boxer was charged with bodily harm and domestic violence. Davis was soon released after a court hearing on $1,000 bail.
