Krasyuk: Probably Lomachenko became one of those whose minds are being manipulated

Alexander Krasyukpromoter of the WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, commented on the situation with the behavior of the ex-world champion in three weight categories – Vasily Lomachenko.

The boxer has repeatedly demonstrated his commitment to the UOC-MP on social networks. In this regard, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a public figure Yevhen Karas, as well as the chief of staff of the Azov regiment, Bogdan Krotevich, announced the “recruitment” of Lomachenko. Vasily was supported by Ukrainian boxer Ivan Redkach.

“I can’t comment on this any more than it is commented on in an open environment. That is, we are talking about the fact that I do not communicate with Lomachenko personally, I do not know his real point of view. But, if we look at his latest posts on Instagram, we see the same direction, “

“Of course, this is all closed under such a screen of religion, faith in God, Orthodoxy, etc. But this is nothing more than sentimentalism. In all denominations, they take advantage of the sentimentalism and short-sightedness of their parishioners and thus manipulate their consciousness. This is not my invention, but what is known to the entire enlightened world.

“And, probably, Lomachenko became one of those whose minds are being manipulated. But on my part, this is nothing more than a guess. He is hardly a big supporter of the enemy, he is hardly a supporter of Russia, he is hardly an opponent of Ukraine. I’m sure it’s not.”

Lomachenko published a video interview with Metropolitan of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate Longin on social networks. During his monologue, Longin says that “Ukraine has started a war against God, the Church of the Lord and the Ukrainian people.”

Recently, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) sent an official petition to ban the activities of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate. Also, the Security Service of Ukraine conducted a series of searches, suspecting the clergy in cooperation with the Russian Orthodox Church and informational support for Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

Lomachenko has previously refused to call Russia an aggressor. After the start of a full-scale Russian invasion, the boxer joined the ranks of the territorial defense of Belgorod-Dnestrovsky.

Vice-President of the League of Professional Boxing of Ukraine Alina Shaternikova stated that Vasyl has been a member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the beginning of a full-scale war.

The boxer himself published a video interview with Metropolitan Luke of Zaporozhye and Melitopol in the summer for the Russian service of the BBC. The clergyman previously stated that the Ukrainians deserved the bombing by the Russian army and contributed to the deportation of Ukrainians from Mariupol, taking civilians to Russia. Lomachenko was also seen in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.
