Uncle and former coach of current WBC heavyweight title holder Tyson Fury Peter Fury – compared the world heavyweight champion according to WBA, WBO and IBF Oleksandr Usyk and the famous Ukrainian boxer, Olympic champion and ex-world champion among professionals Wladimir Klitschko.
“Vladimir fought like a real man in the ring. The Klitschko brothers were the best in their time, but Usyk looks more perfect. He has a sufficient number of skills, he has an arsenal of tricks in his closet. In a duel, he can switch gears, so now he is very strong.”
The Ukrainian should fight his next fight against WBC world champion Tyson Fury. A unification fight between Usyk and Fury could take place in February or March of this year.
In 2022, Usyk had one fight. In August, the Ukrainian had a second fight against Anthony Joshua, defeating the Briton by split decision and retaining his titles.
