UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev in the social network said that he went to the mountains before the fight with the Australian Alexander Volkanovski .
“We need to fill up on oxygen for five rounds,” Makhachev signed in the publication.
The fight between Volkanovski and Makhachev will headline the UFC 284 tournament, scheduled for February 12 in Perth, Australia.
On October 22, Makhachev defeated Oliveira by choke at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi and won the organization’s title.
