The Ukrainian showed a weight of 66.32 kg, his opponent – 66.04 kg
Ukrainian IBF Inter-Continental welterweight title holder Karen Chukhadzhyan (21-1, 11 KOs) and an American boxer Jaron Ennis (29-0, 27 KOs) went through the weigh-in procedure before the fight for the interim IBF world champion belt.
The Ukrainian turned out to be almost 0.3 kg heavier than his opponent. Karen weighed in at 66.32 kg (146.2 lb), while the American reached 66.04 kg (145.6 lb).
Chukhadzhyan previously stated that he was well prepared for the opponent. In turn, Ennis noted that he considers the fight with the Ukrainian as another step in the fight for the world title.
Chukhadzhyan vs. Ennis will take place on January 7 in Washington DC. In the main fight of the evening of boxing, the holder of the WBA Regular lightweight title Gervonta “Tank” Davis (27-0, 25 KOs) and the undefeated Dominican Hector Garcia (16-0, 10 KOs) should meet.
Chukhadzhyan’s last fight was in early July last year. Karen defeated Australian Blake Minto to defend his IBF Inter-Continental title.
