Double Olympic wrestling champion Abdulrashid Sadulaev will miss the Ivan Yarygin Grand Prix because he is not in his best shape, the president of the Russian Wrestling Federation (FSBR) tells Mikhail Mamiashvili .
The competitions will take place from January 25 to 30 in Krasnoyarsk. In addition to Russian wrestlers, athletes from China, Mongolia, Uzbekistan and other countries will take part in the tournament.
– Sadulaev is the only one to miss the Ivan Yarygin Grand Prix. He fought in the Poddubny league and is not in the best condition right now. Injuries, thank God, no. He has now gone to rest, recovered. The others are still in service,” Mamiashvili told .
Sadulaev won gold at the Games in Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. The 26-year-old wrestler also has five world championship wins.
