Khryunov called Bivol a direct candidate for the International Boxing Hall of Fame after Tszyu

WBA Russian Light Heavyweight Champion (Super) Dmitry Bivol – a direct candidate for the International Boxing Hall of Fame after Kostya Tszyu, the Russian promoter told Vladimir Khryunov .

Bivol was named the best boxer of 2022 by the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA). Bivol became the first Russian to receive this title in the award’s 84-year history.

– Honest confession. Bivol beat whoever was the best. He fought very serious fights, in fact, knocked Saul Alvarez from the throne, Khryunov told .

– The past year has been marked by the intrusion of politics into sports, but Americans have paid no attention to it. Surprised?

“There are a lot of nuances. There’s Her Majesty’s boxing, and if you’ve beaten someone and deserve recognition, then you’re rightly considered the best. We should all be proud of Dmitry, wish him interesting fights. His style over the past year has become diverse, he is constantly on the move. I think he’s a direct contender for the International Boxing Hall of Fame after Kostya Tszyu.

The 32-year-old boxer has 21 victories (11 by KO) in the professional ring. Bivol, after defeating Mexicans Saul Alvarez and Gilberto Ramirez, has been recognized as the best boxer of 2022 according to numerous publications and organizations. Moreover, the Russian was named the best by pundits.
