PFL Champion Ali Isaev believes that he is not inferior in skills to the UFC champion Francois Ngannou .
In an interview with , freestyle wrestler Ali Isaev, who switched to MMA, said he would be ready to fight UFC champion Francis Ngannou. Right now, Isaev is preparing his first fight in Bellator, where his opponent will be Steve Mowry (10-0 in MMA).
Do you feel ready to fight Ngannou?
– When there are such rivals, too overrated, it motivates me. I don’t want to miss, pass, knock down, hang out. That’s why I wanted to get there [в UFC], to fight there with top fighters, to show that what is shown on television are ordinary fights by ordinary athletes. I don’t doubt myself one ounce. In general, if you doubt yourself, it is better to leave. If you don’t consider yourself number one, if you think someone can beat you, it’s better to leave them. Anything is possible, and they can knock me out, but inside there has to be a purpose and a feeling that you are first. I don’t want to doubt myself – I’m going to go out and do my best.
And I won’t say they have unrealistic UFC fighters. It’s just public relations. And they don’t even pay fighters like they can pay Bellator or PFL,” Isaev told .
UFC champion Ngannou has been out of action for over a year, recovering from a knee injury and reconciling his differences with the UFC. Ngannou made his first belt defense last January, beating Cyril Gan by decision.
