Former UFC Lightweight Champion Charles Oliveira talked about his plans for the current year. The Brazilian admitted he was hoping for revenge for Islam Makhachev against whom he lost last fall.
On October 22, Makhachev defeated the Brazilian by choke at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi and won the organization’s title.
“Today I’m one fight away from a rematch. The UFC knows what I want. I didn’t come here to play. I want to fight at the end of March-April, it’s my turn. I have to fight on that date. And I need a guy to be the next title contender.
Makhachev fights in February, so I am in March-April to have the opportunity to fight for the title at the end of the year”, quotes LowKickMMA Oliveira.
Makhachev in February is expected to fight with Australian Alexander Volkanovski.
