Drozd on Ukrainian sanctions against IBA President Kremlev: ‘I think Umar Nazarovich wasn’t very upset’

Former World Heavyweight Boxing Champion Grigori Drozd believes that the introduction of the President of the International Boxing Association (IBA) Oumar Kremleva to the Ukrainian sanctions list will not affect the work of the organization.

On Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky introduced restrictive measures against 198 Russian cultural and sports personalities. Among those sanctioned, in addition to the Kremlin, were general producer Alexander Taschin and channel commentator Dmitry Guberniev. The limitation period is 10 years.

” It does not mean anything. Besides smiles, these things don’t cause anything. The same thing happened to me, to Denis Lebedev, to Dima Pirogov. Although no, not just smiles – it also brings pride to be in such a serious company.

Sanctions may in no way interfere with the work of the IBA. These comrades now add to the lists in general all those who are not too lazy. The IBA is an international boxing organization that will work independently and develop the sport around the world. Moreover, this is only the Ukrainian story – neither the United States nor Europe are involved in this. And no one cares. I think Umar Nazarovich wasn’t very upset, Drozd told .
