WBA Russian light heavyweight world champion Dmitry Bivol said he would very much like to fight in St. Petersburg and Kyrgyzstan.
Bivol, 32, has 21 wins (11 by knockout) in the professional ring. Bivol after victories over the Mexicans Saul Alvarez and Gilberto Ramirez has been recognized as the best boxer of 2022 by numerous publications and organizations, including the WBA. Moreover, the Russian was named the best by pundits.
– I have a great desire to fight in St. Petersburg and Kyrgyzstan. I would like to give a gift to my loved ones. But it all depends on organizational capabilities. Now it’s very difficult,” Bivol told a press conference.
The last time Bivol boxed in Russia was in December 2021, in Yekaterinburg against fellow countryman Umar Salamov.
