Earlier, the Ukrainian boxer announced his retirement after the failure of the fight
Former world champion Adrien Broner (34-4-1, 24 KO) the next fight will be held on February 25 with an American Hank Lundy (31-12-1, 14 KOs). Lundy, 39, will replace Ukrainian Ivan Redkach against Broner.
“I am glad that a worthy replacement has been found in Hank Lundy. Unfortunately, Redkach had to leave, but I’m ready for whoever is put in front of me. This is my show and my mission is to break everyone in my path. Hank Lundy is in trouble. I’m going to beat him,” said Adrian.
Lundy previously boxed for the WBO light welterweight belt. The American lost the last three fights, including one of them by a knockout in the second round to Briton Robbie Davis.
Redkach was originally scheduled to face Broner in the ring on February 18 in Atlanta. The fight was later rescheduled for February 25.
The other day, the Ukrainian made a statement about the cancellation of the duel with Adrian. Ivan also announced the end of his professional career. The Ukrainian accused promoter Joe DeGuardia of disrupting the fight.
