Redkach accused promoter DeGuardia of disrupting the duel with Broner

Ukrainian announced his retirement

Ukrainian welterweight boxer Ivan Redkach accused promoter Joe DeGuardia of disrupting the fight with ex-world champion Adrien Broner.

“De Guardia is a greedy devil. He did nothing for me in this fight, he wanted to make all the money on me. I gave him all the money he wanted and in doing so he demanded that BLK [организаторы боя] paid him more.”

“There are a lot of mean people in boxing who spoil [жизни] boxers and crush their dreams. I’m in pain. I’m done with boxing. I was true to boxing – when a boxer is tied up, he cannot fight.”

Initially, the boxers were supposed to meet in the ring on February 18 in Atlanta. Later, the Redkach-Broner fight was postponed to February 25.

The other day, the Ukrainian made a statement about the cancellation of the duel with Adrian. Ivan also announced the end of his professional career.

Redkach lost to Prograis in the spring of 2021, suffering his sixth defeat. Since that time, the 36-year-old Ukrainian has not entered the ring.
