Athletistic/ MMA. Former mixed martial arts fighter Chael Sonnen, who has performed under the auspices of the UFC and Bellator organizations, has shared his expectations for a possible fight between Russian Islam Makhachev and Brazilian Charles Oliveira.
“Oliveira vs. Makhachev. I think this is my dream fight now. I didn’t care about this fight two weeks ago. I’m not a hater and you know that. But in two weeks everything changed. I fingers crossed for this fight, I want them to fight,” Sonnen said.
Islam Makhachev fought his last fight on February 26, 2022 with American Bobby Green, whom he defeated by technical knockout in the first round. Charles Oliveira last fought on May 7, 2022 with American fighter Justin Gaethje. Charles won via rear naked choke, but was unable to defend the UFC Lightweight Championship due to his inability to gain weight the day before the fight.
