Boxer Bivol: “As a child, I won medals in football and athletics”

WBA Russian light heavyweight world champion Dmitry Bivol I remembered how, as a child, I won prizes in athletics and football competitions.

Bivol has 21 wins (11 by knockout) in the professional ring. The 32-year-old Russian has been named the best boxer of 2022 by numerous publications and organizations.

– There is also athleticism in boxing. We sometimes run in the morning. I run a little below average. By the way, I have a medal in athletics – when I lived in Kyrgyzstan, I competed in the 200-meter race and won a medal. I also have a football medal, I did a little.

But I can’t say that I watch football. I don’t really like watching sports, I like playing them. And football… It takes a lot of time – an hour and a half to watch a match. Yes, we watch the big events, for example, at the world championships, in the company of friends. But I won’t watch one. The business is important,” Bivol told reporters.
