IBF has given Usyk a mandatory title defense against Hrgovic
Former heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz and Croatian Filip Hrgovic will hold IBF interim heavyweight title fight. Representatives of both boxers are already negotiating.
Recall that now the IBF title belongs to Oleksandr Usyk. Previously, the IBF canceled its mandatory title defense order for Usyk against challenger Hrgovic.
Hrgovic defeated Zhang Zhilei of China in August to become the mandatory contender for the IBF world title.
Also earlier, the WBC approved the fight between Andy Ruiz and another former champion Deontay Wilder.
In his last fight, Ruiz defeated Luis Ortiz via unanimous decision. At the same time, Andy knocked down the opponent three times. After the fight, Ruiz challenged Deontay Wilder to a face-to-face fight.
