Arum: Usyk-Fury fight will take place. The only problem is where exactly it will take place. Everything will be decided next week.

The organizers are waiting for proposals from representatives from the Middle East

Promoter Bob Arum sure fight between WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and WBC belt holder Tyson Fury will take place.

“I am very optimistic that the fight will take place. Both fighters agreed to fight, the question remains with the venue. We are negotiating with representatives from the Middle East because they are going to offer the biggest prize pool in the history of boxing. If it works out, then the fight will take place there, because money is money.”

“If it doesn’t come out, then both fighters will agree to fight this spring at Wembley. One way or another, the fight will take place, and this will happen within the first four months of the coming year.

“Fighters want to make the most of it because their time in boxing goes by fast. So, the only problem is where exactly the fight will take place. I am sure that next week everything will be decided and we will make an official announcement of the date and venue of the fight.”

Recall that the fight for the absolute heavyweight title between Fury and Usyk will not take place on March 4. According to promoter Frank Warren, the fight is scheduled for late March – early April.

Warren also said that the duel between the Ukrainian and the British could include a revenge clause.

Promoter Bob Arum said that Usyk wants an equal distribution of income between the boxers in the unification fight with Fury.
