McGregor: It will be difficult for Joshua to regain belts in Usyk rematch

The second fight between Usyk and AJ is planned to take place in July

Former UFC champion in two weight divisions Conor McGregor shared his expectations from the second fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua. The Irishman is looking forward to seeing a great fight from both fighters.

“Joshua will have a hard time getting his belts back. It didn’t go so well for him last time,” McGregor said.

“AJ is a good guy and I wish him all the best. Usyk is also a great guy and I hope to see a good fight from both fighters. The heavyweight division is on fire right now. A lot of good things are happening.”

McGregor last fought in July last year against Dustin Poirier. The fight was stopped early at the end of the first round due to a broken leg in the Irishman. Conor broke his leg after throwing one of his punches after an unfortunate stumble.

The second fight between Usyk and Joshua is scheduled to take place on July 23 in the Middle East. Last fall, the Ukrainian defeated Anthony by unanimous decision and won the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight titles.
