The fight will take place on April 15
Interim WBO World Champion Joe Joyce (15-0, 14 KOs) and Chinese heavyweight Zhang Zhilei (24-1-1, 19 KOs) will have a face-to-face fight.
Boxers will meet in the ring on April 15. The venue for the duel between the Olympic champions (Joyce – Olympic medalist 2016, Zhilei – Olympic 2008) will be determined later.
In the last fight, 39-year-old Zhang Zhilei lost a decision to Croat Filip Hrgovic. Joyce knocked out Joseph Parker in his last fight to become the interim WBO heavyweight champion. After defeating Parker, Joyce challenged Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk to fight.
Joyce expressed his desire to fight UFC World Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou. The Briton wants to fight according to the rules of boxing. Joe also announced his readiness to meet in the ring with world champions – Alexander Usik and Tyson Fury.
