Ramazan Ismailov, brother and trainer of Magomed Ismailov, believes the former UFC champion Francois Ngannou decided to end relations with the UFC, as he chose more favorable terms.
Earlier it was reported that one of the organizers of the fights in Russia was ready to offer Francis three million dollars for the fight with Russian boxer Soslan Asbarov.
“I think the UFC lost more from Ngannou’s departure than Francis himself. Ngannou was offered eight million dollars to fight Jon Jones, but I heard he was already offered eight million dollars to fight in the PFL plus 50% with PPV (paid broadcasts), and thanks to them, you can earn ten or even twenty million. Apparently, Ngannou compared everything, chose more favorable conditions and now wins, ‘RB Sport’ quote Ismailov.
Ngannou (17-3 in MMA) defended the UFC heavyweight belt on January 22, 2022 and after that he negotiated extensively with the UFC, during which the parties failed to reach an agreement – and the champion left the promotion.
