For the ex-world champion, it all ended in the 4th round
Former British Middleweight Champion Chris Eubank Jr. sensationally lost by knockout to my compatriot Liam Smith.
The fight became the main event of the boxing evening in Manchester. Eubank acted as a favorite and, as expected, seized the initiative at the beginning of the battle. However, in the 4th round, Smith knocked Chris down twice and the referee stopped the fight.
Recall that Eubank Jr. twice owned the title of interim WBA middleweight champion. In the last fight in February 2022, Chris defeated Liam Williams by decision.
Eubank, 33, was scheduled to fight Conor Benn in October. The fight was canceled after it was revealed that Benn tested positive for doping twice.
Liam Smith, who was a former world welterweight champion, had two fights in 2022. In the last fight, in September, Smith defeated Hassan Mwakinho by technical knockout.
