Initially, I would like to get Tuivasa – he is higher than me in the rankings, and we haven’t fought yet. But he’s on a two-fight streak right now, and it wouldn’t be good for him to agree to fight me. First, he needs to get back on a winning streak, and then our fight with him will make more sense. And besides him, there are no free guys higher than me in the ranking, although of course I would like to fight with one of them.
But it’s good that you just have the opportunity to fight. I’m confident that I can prove myself, win the fight and move on. And who to fight – at heavyweight it is not so important now, because the situation in the division is changing very quickly. Some top 15 guys fight with someone in the top three, win and go up. The same Tuivasa, after a few victories, became one of the leaders of the division, but if you look at some of his previous defeats, it becomes clear that this happened partly by accident. All of the top 10 rivals are close to level. And because the name of the opponent is not so important.
In the last fight, the 34-year-old Russian defeated Suriname representative Jairzinho Rozenstruik by technical knockout.
