Dalakian arrives in England ahead of Jimenez fight

The fight will take place on January 28

Ukrainian WBA bantamweight champion Artem Dalakyan (21-0, 15 KOs) arrived in London, where next weekend he will fight with the Costa Rican challenger David Jimenez (12-0, 9 KOs).

Dalakyan’s team also visited the hall of fame at the stadium, where there are boxing gloves signed by Ukrainian champions.

The Ukrainian will defend his WBA belt on January 28 in London at Wembley. The fight will take place on the undercard of the fight between Arthur Beterbiev and Anthony Yarde.

Dalakyan, 34, won the world title in 2018. In November 2021, in a duel against Luis Concepción, the Ukrainian successfully defended the belt for the fifth time.

Jimenez defeated American Ricardo Sandoval in a duel for the status of a mandatory contender for the WBA belt. According to the results of the fight, the judges gave the victory to the Costa Rican by a majority of votes.
