Russian boxer, WBA champion Dmitry Bivol (21 wins, 0 losses) told he follows careers Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as well as the interest for the individual Michael Jordan .
Bivol also explained why he would not train in another discipline under one of the elite athletes.
– Islam Makhachev recently had a training session with Olympic artistic gymnastics champion Nikita Nagorny. Would you be interested in training in another sport with a top athlete?
“I would be interested, but it seems to me that you have to have at least an understanding of another sport first,” the boxer told . – That is, so that you have questions in your head that would not give you rest. And if I don’t have the basic skills, for example in football, what’s the point of training there with a top athlete? It might be even easier for an ordinary coach to answer my questions.
– There is an athlete from another sport, who would you follow and who would impress you?
– I like the evolution of Messi’s career. I like to follow Ronaldo. Also, although I’m not signed to him, I love Michael Jordan’s life and image in general.
Bivol last fought Nov. 5 in Abu Dhabi, defending the WBA light heavyweight belt (up to 79.4kg).
