Former boxing world champion Dmitry Kudryashov has told RB Sport he doesn’t see how Britain’s Anthony Yarde can create inconvenience for the Russian. Artur Beterbiev in their fight.
– The yard does not have a single-shot cannon. He’s big, strong, and wins by knockout due to tonnage of punches, but he doesn’t have a single punch. When an opponent is lower in class, Yard can simply beat them. Didn’t see any sort of corona, which should be seriously feared.
How lucky is the Yard? Every boxer has chances, you have to leave a certain percentage for the lakipunch. He can hit hard. But the styles make the fights. I don’t see how Yard will create disadvantages for Beterbiev. Arthur, on the other hand, can create problems for him – with a right dribble on his arm, which will go over his left shoulder. Beterbiev feels confident inside. I don’t know if Yard is able to move and outrun him every 12 rounds. You still have to fight,” Kudryashov said.
Beterbiev, 38, will defend his belts against 31-year-old WBO mandatory challenger Yard on Jan. 28 in London. The Russian has 18 first wins in 18 fights in the professional ring. Yard has 23 wins and two losses. Yard is familiar to the Russian viewer from the 2019 fight in Chelyabinsk with Russia’s Sergey Kovalev, in that fight Yard lost earlier than expected.
