Second and friend of former UFC bantamweight champion Petra Yana Ilyas Khamzin on February 18 in Yekaterinburg will fight under kickboxing rules with Brazilian Milson Castro in the RCC Fair Fight 20 tournament, tournament organizers told .
Khamzin started his martial arts career with kickboxing, won two first victories. Then Peter Yan invited the fighter to try his hand at MMA, and Khamzin’s debut in mixed martial arts took place in the fall of 2018. Currently, the 31-year-old Khamzin has 11 wins and two defeats in MMA.
Castro, 29, has 14 fights and three losses in MMA. The Brazilian beat his teammates Khamzin Timur Nagibin, Pavel Gordeev, Vladimir Palchenkov. In kickboxing, Castro lost to Russian Mamuka Usubyan in 2021.
Another second from Petr Yan Denis Lavrentiev (12 wins, 1 loss in MMA) will fight in MMA at the RCC 14 tournament on February 4 in Tyumen. Rakhim Midaev (11-1) will become the Russian flyweight rival.
Petr Yan will fight the next fight on March 11 in Las Vegas against Georgian Merab Dvalishvili during the UFC Fight Night 221 tournament. This show will be broadcast live on the channel.
