Head of the Russian Wrestling Federation (FSBR) Mikhail Mamiashvili told that the Russian team is ready to participate in the Asian Games.
On January 26, the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) offered to give athletes from Russia and Belarus the opportunity to participate in competitions in Asia, including the Asian Games.
– The Russian team is ready to go to the Asian Games. We continue our “cooperation” within the framework that our “good partners” have determined for us, may God bless them all.
However, Asia’s proposal will be implemented. We will be ready to participate in such a serious sports forum, we will be able to adequately represent the country and our sports,” Mamiashvili told .
The 2023 Asian Summer Games will take place from September 23 to October 8 in Hangzhou (China).
On Wednesday, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) said it would consider admitting neutral Russians and Belarusians to world starts who do not actively support the NWO. Previously, in most sports, against the background of the situation in Ukraine, athletes from the Russian Federation and Belarus were deprived of the opportunity to participate in international tournaments.
