Russian MMA fighter Fedor Emelianenko will defeat American Ryan Bader in a rematch at Bellator 290, according to former PFL champion Ali Isaev.
The fight between Emelianenko and Bader will take place on February 4, 2023 in Inglewood (USA). The first meeting of the fighters, which took place in January 2019, ended with the victory of the American by knockout in the first round.
– How do you assess the chances of Fedor Emelianenko in a duel with Ryan Bader?
– The advantage of Fedor has always been the fight, the explosion. Over the years it goes away, as I understand it. Now Fedor no longer stands and fights in the grandstand. Bader is younger, especially since beating Emelianenko. I don’t even know what advantage to highlight. Everything can be. Fedor will win, but I can’t say how, because I don’t know how he trains, what he does.
– Fedor lost to Bader. But is that why the American isn’t tuned into the fight. Assess for yourself. How did you prepare for fights against opponents that you previously beat easily and quickly?
I’m going to make double that. Why? Because my opponent is going to prepare even harder because of the loss. He will be strongly interested in winning the rematch. To prevent that from happening, I’m going to train a lot more to prove that I can win after three rounds. To think that I will win against him because I won earlier is a mistake. Big, — Isaev told Metaratings.ru.
In total, Emelianenko has 40 wins and six losses in MMA, Bader has 30 wins and seven losses.
