The Russian men’s team included: Edmond Khudoyan (up to 48 kg), Vasily Egorov (up to 51 kg), Dmitry Dvali (up to 54 kg), Eduard Savvin (up to 57 kg), Vsevolod Shumkov ( up to 60 kg), Gabil Mamedov (63.5 kg), Tarkhan Idigov (up to 67 kg), Igor Sviridchenkov (up to 71 kg), Pavel Sosulin (up to 75 kg), Imam Khataev (up to ‘to 80 kg), Sharabutdin Ataev (up to 86 kg), Muslim Gadzhimagomedov (up to 92 kg), Alexey Dronov (over 92 kg).
All of these boxers are current champions of Russia.
The women’s team included: Yulia Chumgalakova (up to 48 kg), Ekaterina Paltseva (up to 50 kg), Anna Aedma (up to 52 kg), Anastasia Kiriyenko (up to 54 kg), Lyudmila Vorontsova (up to ‘to 57 kg), Nadezhda Golubeva (up to 60 kg) kg), Natalia Sychugova (up to 63 kg), Azalia Amineva (up to 66 kg), Anastasia Demurchyan (up to 70 kg), Anastasia Shamonova (up to 75 kg), Saltanat Medenova (up to 81 kg), Diana Pyatak (over 81 kg) .
All boxers have won gold medals at the Russian championships, except for Saltanat Medenova.
The competitions in Morocco are a stage of the World Boxing Tour (WBT) – a new tournament under the auspices of the IBA. The circuit includes several competitions divided into three categories: gold belt, silver belt and bronze belt. Morocco will host the Golden Belt Series. In WBT tournaments, boxers score points that count towards their personal and team rankings. At the end of the year, the best boxers and the best national teams will be determined by ranking. The top four boxers in each category will meet in the Diamond Belt tournament at the end of the year to determine the best of the best.
More than 370 athletes from 53 countries have already confirmed their participation in the tournament in Morocco.
