Ukrainian defended his WBA bantamweight belt
Ukrainian WBA bantamweight title holder Artem Dalakyan (22-0, 15 KOs) defeated Costa Rican David Jimenez (12-1, 9 KOs) and defended the championship belt.
The fight went on for 12 rounds. As a result of the battle, the judges unanimously gave the victory to the Ukrainian. One referee noted in his card the score 116:113 in favor of the Ukrainian, two more recorded the result 115:113.
The fight took place at Wembley on the undercard of the fight between Arthur Beterbiev and Anthony Yarde.
Dalakyan, 34, won the world title in 2018. This is the sixth defense of the WBA belt for Artem. In the previous fight, the Ukrainian defeated Luis Concepcion by technical knockout in November 2021.
