Joshua: I want to fight Fury or Wilder this year, potentially both

The Briton believes that Fury’s father will help re-organize the fight, which once fell through

Former World Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) said that he intends to return to the top level in world boxing in 2023 and fight with the WBC title holder Tyson Fury or ex-world champion Deontay Wilder.

Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder in 2023. Both of them will make a good boxing night and require hard work. But yes, 2023 is Fury or Wilder or maybe both.”

“Regarding the fight with Tyson, in my heart this is not the end. If you listen to what Fury has to say, it’s one thing after another. But I’m sure he will fight me. His father won’t let him refuse to fight me. His dad is a normal guy, I like him. So yes.”

Joshua’s next fight will be with American Jermain Franklin. The boxers will meet in the ring of the O2 Arena in London on April 1st.

Joshua in August last year lost a split decision to Ukrainian boxer, WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk. After the defeat from the Ukrainian, Anthony negotiated a fight with Fury, but the parties failed to agree.
