Wilder on his comeback: Heavyweight is underwhelming without an American

Deontay set to return to the ring after two losses to Fury

Former World Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder told what motivates him to continue his career.

According to The Bronze Bomber, the heavyweight division is no match for the flamboyant American boxer.

“One thing I have proven is that boxing thrives on the revitalization that the American champion brings. Once this revival passes, boxing dies, ”Wilder said.

“I was living proof of this, as I was returning by popular demand, which I heard from the top and bottom. From homeless people to millionaires. You feel? It was just an amazing feeling.”

“Many people tell me this is important, because without an American, heavyweight is not exciting. An American heavyweight brings a revival to the heavyweight, and then the money flows like water. Just trust me.”

Last week, Wilder participated in the presentation of his statue in Tuscaloosa, the boxer’s hometown. Then Deontay said that he intends to continue his journey in boxing.

Wilder plans to return to the ring after two defeats from Tyson Fury: in 2020, the American lost the WBC championship belt to his opponent, and last fall he failed to return him in a rematch.
