Promoter Bob Arum told when the fight between the undisputed lightweight champion will be officially announced Devin Haney and Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko.
“We are looking at the end of May as the final date for their confrontation. We can officially announce the Lomachenko-Haney fight within a week.”

Earlier it was reported that the fight between Lomachenko and Haney will take place on May 20. Arum stated that the fight could take place in the Middle East, in Las Vegas or in New York.
Lomachenko defeated American Jemaine Ortiz in his last fight. For the Ukrainian, this was the first and only fight for 10 months.
Last October, Haney defeated George Kambosos again to retain the WBC, WBA Super, IBF and WBO lightweight titles. Devin has repeatedly stated his readiness to face Lomachenko in the ring.
