WBC, WBO, IBF Light Heavyweight World Champion Arthur Beterbiev returned to Russia after beating Britain’s Anthony Yard.
Beterbiev flew to Domodedovo airport, and a solemn meeting was held for the Russian boxer.
Beterbiev on Saturday in London defeated Yarde by eighth-round technical knockout and earned the 19th victory in 19 professional ring fights.
Beterbiev boxed for the first time as a professional in the UK. All his fights took place in Canada or the USA. In Russia, the boxer fought once – in March 2021 in Moscow he defeated the German Adam Daines in the tenth round.
