‘Now it will be difficult for Ngannou to fight Tyson Fury’ – training partner of former UFC champion on his transition to boxing

Former sparring partner Francois Ngannou Sergei Spivak appreciated the prospects of the ex-UFC champion in boxing, remembering the joint training.

Earlier, Ngannou announced the end of his relationship with the UFC and announced his intention to explore the possibility of switching to professional boxing. Ngannou won the UFC title in 2021 by knocking out Stipe Miocic and defended it once, beating Cyril Gan by unanimous decision.

Heavyweight Sergey Spivak has long been Ngannou’s sparring partner while training in Las Vegas.

– Ngannou is a hard working guy, so if he participates in boxing, he will only train in boxing and learn something, improve. Of course, if you’re going to a really big fight with Tyson Fury now, it’s going to be tough. And if you have a few fights and then fight Fury, that might be easier. I don’t know how interested he is.

“Did you see him drop someone with big gloves on?”

“I honestly haven’t seen him. Guys say he works hard, but he boxed with me in both MMA and boxing gloves, and there was nothing like it. It works cleanly , in fact.

Ngannou, 36, fought his last fight on January 22, 2022. MMA heavyweight stats – 17 wins, 3 losses.
