Russian mixed style fighter Fyodor Emelianenko does not use specialized sports nutrition when preparing for the fight with American Ryan Bader, said Alexander Yazykov, marketing director of the MMA Union of Russia.
The fight for the Bellator heavyweight champion belt between Emelyaenko and Bader will take place at a tournament in Inglewood (USA) on Saturday, February 4.
– Fedor was looking for a nutritionist, they found a famous athlete, bodybuilder. He sorted his food diary: “Fyodor, write down what you eat.” And it’s dumplings, borscht. Completely normal human food. He says, “Where’s the protein? What do you think BJU, where are some vitamins? Fedor replied: “Why? I do not need it. Here, honey with nuts is a normal topic,” Yazykov told Komsomolskaya Pravda.
In total, Emelianenko, 46, has 40 wins and six losses in MMA, Bader, 39, has 30 wins and seven losses.
