Former Bellator Interim Heavyweight Champion (11–2) Valentin Moldavski told how the preparation went Fyodor Emelianenko (40 wins, 6 losses) for a revenge with ryan bader (30–7).
Moldavsky mimicked Bader’s front hand strike during training sessions with Emelianenko.
– Fedor was preparing for the same jab with a step he missed the first time?
– We were preparing, I threw on the two, we worked out protection against it. In my preparation, everyone concentrated on his left, and he [Бэйдер] she didn’t hit me, but right it happened from where they didn’t expect it.
– That is, you and Nemkov hit with the front hand?
– Yes. Looks like I did pretty much the same thing.
Is it correct to think that Bader is trying to disguise this kick as a pass to the leg?
– Not really. Because he bends down, a person may have the reflex that he is going by the way. I suppose that [в ответ] you can stretch and charge the high kick. When Vadya (Nemkov – approx. “”) was preparing, we worked on it. There isn’t even a high kick, but at body level, if you throw it with good timing, it will hit the head. His head will be level with the body. He dodges so that he lowers his head, – said the Moldovan “”.
The fight between Emelianenko and Bellator heavyweight champion Bader will take place on February 4 in Inglewood (USA). The first meeting of the fighters took place in January 2019 and ended with the victory of the American by knockout in the 35th second of the fight.
In January 2022, Moldavsky also fought Bader, losing by decision in five rounds. Vadim Nemkov defeated Bader by knockout on August 21, 2020 in the second round.
