Former Bellator Interim Heavyweight Champion Valentin Moldavski thinks his former opponent is American Steve Mowry feigned an eye injury in their duel.
Moldavsky also gave a prediction for Ali Isaev’s fight with Mowry. The fight between Mowry and Moldavsky took place during the Bellator 284 tournament and ended without an announcement of the result, when the American refused to continue the fight after a glance from Moldavsky. Steve Mowry will face Russian heavyweight Ali Isaev at Bellator 290 on February 4. According to Moldavsky, Isaev “will destroy his rival”
– You can’t overtrain, you need to feel your body. And me, coming into Bellator, I plowed the whole time. I was probably better prepared in the Steve Mowry fight, when, as Fedya says, you ring straight. And this one-eyed beast merged.
– You already spoke curtly about Mowry…
Yes, because it’s crap. I’m sure Ali [Исаев] it will simply be destroyed. A person without a fighting mentality, which is obvious. I saw him the next day at the hotel for breakfast, there was nothing to look at. It’s just that when you have such an eye injury that you can’t go on, you don’t walk in the cage like that. We recently worked with Anton Mamonov in training in small gloves, I hit him three times harder. And after 20 seconds, we continued the fight. I’m sure he has no place in fights with such a character.
– Do you regret that it is not you who will demonstrate this, but Ali Isaev?
– What do I have to regret? I have nothing to prove to him, it’s a fact. Ali will just blow it up if he is roughly in the shape we saw him in three years ago, – said Moldavian .
Valentin Moldavsky will next fight on March 10 at Bellator 292.
