Mexican Emanuel Navarrete won the vacant WBO super featherweight title by defeating Australian Liam Wilson in the main event of a pro boxing night in Glendale, Arizona, USA.
Navarrete was knocked down in the fourth round but managed to recover and win the fight ahead of schedule in the ninth when the referee stopped the fight after another successful attack.
Navarrete at the age of 28 became the champion of three divisions. Previously, he took the WBO super bantamweight (2018-2020) and featherweight belts. The Mexican has 37 wins (31 KOs) and one loss. Wilson, 26, suffered a second loss with 11 wins (7 KOs).
