Down-the-line.com/MMA. Former Russian MMA fighter Fedor Emelianenko, commenting on the decision to leave the sport, explained the reasons. He confessed that at 46, he no longer felt the same strength.

On the night of February 5, Emelianenko lost to American Ryan Bader in the Bellator 280 tournament. The opponent knocked out the Russian in the first round.

“I’m getting older, my age helped me make a decision. The years remind me of my situation. The only thing that could be different, I could beat Bader. But that didn’t happen,” Emelianenko said during a a press conference after the tournament.
