Due to an open issue with translators
return match between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua should take place in mid-August, and not on July 23, as originally planned. It is reported by The Telegraph.
This is due to the fact that negotiations with the broadcasters are still ongoing. The fight is expected to be shown on Sky Sports on a pay-per-view basis in the UK, while DAZN will receive international rights.
Promoter Eddie Hearn previously revealed that the fight would take place in Saudi Arabia and would have to be pushed back by 1-2 weeks due to organizational issues.
In September last year, Usyk defeated Joshua by unanimous decision and became the new WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight world champion.
The promoter of the Ukrainian Oleksandr Krasyuk said earlier that the second fight between Usyk and Joshua should be officially announced any day now.
