Usyk and Joshua rematch will take place in Saudi Arabia, but the date may be shifted

Officially about the fight should be announced in the coming days

Promoter Eddie Hearn revealed that the parties Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua have already agreed on a rematch to be held in Saudi Arabia.

At the same time, the date of the fight may be shifted by 1-2 weeks from July 23 due to technical difficulties with the organization of the event.

“We have agreed on a deal for the fight, and July 23 is still a working date. We are ready to officially announce the rematch, both sides have agreed on all issues, ”said Hearn.

“The fight will take place in Saudi Arabia. A shift in the date of the event is possible, because you need to take care of the promotion of the event. The fight will take place anyway.”

“It just took ten days longer than we wanted, so without saying a specific date, I can say with confidence that we are finalizing the paperwork. Be ready”.

In September last year, Usyk defeated Joshua by unanimous decision and became the new WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight world champion.

The promoter of the Ukrainian Oleksandr Krasyuk said earlier that the second fight between Usyk and Joshua should be officially announced any day now.
