Mexican Yair Rodriguez beat the american Josh Emmet for the UFC interim featherweight title.
The fight, which took place at the UFC 284 tournament in Perth, Australia, ended in the second round with Rodriguez winning by choke.
In mixed martial arts, Rodriguez, 30, has 16 wins with three losses, one of his bouts being declared invalid. Emmett, 37, has won 18 fights and lost three.
The current UFC champion in this division is Australian Alexander Volkanovski, who will face Russian Islam Makhachev on Sunday for the UFC lightweight title.
