Athletistic/ MMA. Sports organization Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president Dana White has criticized the business model used in boxing.
“Every time I think about changing boxing, I ask myself the question, ‘Why would I laugh at myself like this? Why should I plunge into this nightmare?’ Today, boxing is broken. Therefore, I make no attempt to fix anything. It’s a broken business. Trying to fix it is a real nightmare,” White said.
In 2019, Dana announced that he would try to reform boxing, but he quickly abandoned that idea. Despite this, it is White who is often criticized for the fact that many fighters in his organization receive far lower fees than UFC stars.
